Tim Rogers - 1977-1980 I'm hoping to find friends who were at Monkton Wyld in the late 70's. At Monkton Wyld, I smoked my first cigarette, got drunk for the first time, kissed a girl for the first time, drove a LandRover, snuck into a X certificate film at 13, got stuck up a cliff in Lyme Regis, liked teachers for the first time and learned to love punk rock. Monkton Wyld influenced me in ways I still find hard to express. If Big Six, Little Six, or the Bogy Hole froze you in the winter, if jumping down the fire ladder between the top and middle floors were your idea of fun, if you saw the Martian schoolgirls in the dining room or managed to swing from the high branch, then you may remember me.

Michael King - 1978-1981 I would like to hear from old friends who were at MW from 1978 - 1981. Some of you may remember me under the nick name "prof". ...."I let my past go too fast!..."
Email: MKing1@compuserve.com or see my Carnivorous Plant Website http://www.carnivorousplants.uk.com
John Cole - 1956-1961 "Ting ting"...it still brings back memories of Eleanor's announcements at breakfast time. Eleanor and her husband Carl, managed the school whilst I was there from 1956-61. I shared a top floor dormitory with Jasper, Richard and Tobias. Sausages and apple salad.....haymaking.... haircut lists...weekends at Lyme Regis.....a small unique school, and some talented creative kids from many diverse backgrounds...I remember the names of many, and would love to hear from anyone from that era...John Cole, now of Sydney, Australia.

Remember me, Judi Burke? Now Judi Roselli-Cecconi, with hubby Nick and sons Filippo and Mikele. Maybe you remember I used to live in Kenya, these days I'm in Italy, Tuscany. We have a beautiful farm just outside of Florence, where we rent out a villa and a couple of apartments - have a look at the website http://www.tuscancharm.com It would be great to hear from anyone who remembers me and talk about thegood times spent at Monkton Wyld.

Hilly Beavan - 1967-1971 (or was it 1970?) Blimey - the Monterey Pine, "ting ting", the double seats at the Regal in Lyme Regis...it's all coming back, even after 30 years. And I still want to know - how on earth did I manage to start smoking on 3/6d a week? What DID Con the baker put in that bread? And can anybody else cook in normal quantities - I still tend to think: "Rice. 4 lbs". I've spent the last 20 years running a graphic design studio in Soho - we do lots of charity work, especially animal rights, which won't be a surprise to anyone who remembers me! What are you all doing? The reunion was great, and I really enjoyed catching up with the people who were there - but where's everybody else?

Christine Firth (Burch) I have come across a programme for Romanov and Juliet by Peter Ustinov, which was performed at Monkton Wyld I think in 1960. I was the Christine B - the solkier. I have scanned the programme (hand written) on my website at http://users.zetnet.uk/johnfirth/monkton.html

Matt Jackson Strange smells in the science lab, Molly's notorious "Doggie Doo" picture in the dining room; learning Japanese chess (met no one since who knows it); building dams in the stream at the bottom of the cow field; That magazine article mentioning "Jenny's sexy wiggle"; Justin's slightly too enthusiastic piano renditions of Chopin's death march; the old tree being pulled down; Mike's outlandish plans for a large interstellar space force; the top-floor siege; my totally unfunny milk shake "joke"... There is a Monkton Wyld entry on Friends Reunited. If you click HERE you'll end up in 1975. Yup Time Travel is Real.
Recognize anyone? Photographs from 1971-1973. Most of these were developed and printed at school so the quality after 30 years is verging on questionable. Anyway, hope you have a laugh or two.
